Solar Ham.com (Solar Cycle 24 previously)
A solar site with most of everything on it. A little on the crowded and fussy side but lots of info.
Current state of the sun, solar winds, flux, near earth objects etc. You host is Dr Tony Philips of NASA
What modulates our Sun? Thanks to Carl Smith, who has recently left us, we have new knowledge that significantly adds to Jose’s and Landscheidt’s work. Much more than just a Solar site.
- The KP Index
Page updates every 5 minutes
Kp-indices of 5 or greater indicate storm-level geomagnetic activity. Geomagnetic storms have been associated with satellite surface charging and increased atmospheric drag.
- The KP Index measured at Toledo – Spain
- Landscheidt Cycles Research
Possibly a little ‘off topic’ but relates directly to Solar output.
- Solar Terrestrial Activity Report
- Weakest Sun spot cycle for 200 years? – Latest predictions.
- Solar Flare Monitor
General solar flare probability is given on colour coded bar. This is the general probability for occurance of a C-,M-, or x- class flare. The detected sunspot groups are numbered on the solar disk.
The classifications and flaring (M and X class) probabilities for these groups are generated and shown on the table.
- Solar Wind Prediction (CME based)
- Space Weather Analysis System
CME arrival times and much much more.
